Privacy Policy in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679
Pursuant to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), hereby we acknowledge that the UPSPACE Consortium is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we processing information and data received for conducting the UPSPACE activities.
Who is the UPSPACE Consortium?
UPSPACE project coordinators of the following institutions:

UpSpace "Upcycling and Regeneration of urban Space for green skills" is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Program, Key Action 2 "Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices. It is a 26-month project started on 01/10/2020, ending on 31/03/2022. The project aims at promoting the inclusion of sustainable development in secondary education curricula and related training by implementing innovative solutions in open secondary schools on sustainable management and effective use of natural resources.
What personal data we collect
In accordance with Article 4 of EU Regulation on the topic, "personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person; 'processing' means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. We collect only the information you provide us with for the purposes of your regular relationship with our organisation.
- Personal identity, region, telephone number, email;
- Data concerning professional/organisational/business information concerning organisations name, profile, sector, business category, number of employees, fax and telephone number, tax code etc; and
- Usage data concerning email your collect when you access our links, through cookies and wherever our technology and when you contact us via email, social media, or similar modes of communication.
Even though such data are not collected via as to be associated with the natural person, these online identifiers might be used and transmitted by third parties so as to create profiles of the users and identify them. These data are automatically collected when using the plug-in details, device type (e.g. desktop, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.), operating system, local time zone. These data are used solely to produce anonymous statistical results.
Why we process your data
We use your personal data for the use your data in the following ways:
- to comply with our legal obligations
- to comply with the obligations connected to the above-mentioned juridical relations;
- to handle the organisational management of existing and future juridical relations;
- to perform actions related to project contact our requirements
- to protect contractual rights;
- for statistical purposes;
- to respond to your requests, communicate updates concerning our services provided by our organisation, via email or mail.
How we process "sensitive" personal information
We do not try to record your race, processing concerning drive this "personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and processing genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation." However, if you yourself choose to make such sensitive information available to us through public sources of legitimate activities with appropriate safeguards by a foundation, association or any other not-for-profit body with a political, philosophical, religious or trade union aim, and on condition that the processing relates solely to the members or to former members of the body or to persons who have regular contact with it in connection with its purposes.
How long we keep your personal data
We will keep your personal data collected pursuant to categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 set out above for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is/are for are legal reasons pursuant to our organisational and legal obligations. Certain requests – including some of those which you make are to comply those them.
Personal data collected for management and financial purposes will be stored for up to 10 years, according to law.
We will keep your personal data – collected pursuant to paragraph 7 – for up to 10 years.
You can withdraw your consent at any time.
How we collect your personal data
Your consent is necessary for purposes under paragraph 1 is, in order to comply with legal obligations under point 2, the necessary our legitimate interest under points 3 and 4, after our organisation to offer you our services. We will send you marketing communications, as described under paragraph 7, via e-mail or postal service. You can unsubscribe from such communications whenever you prefer by contacting us or by using other communication modalities, pursuant to Article 7, par. 3, and Article 10 of EU Regulation 2016/679.
Please note that we per the above services under for the purposes described under paragraph 7a) voluntary.
Refusal to share your personal data for the above-mentioned purposes will not allow us to offer you our services and technical assistance and sending newsletters regarding our projects and activities.

How we process your data
We will process and store your data safely for the above mentioned purposes, using digital and analogical devices and in manual databases ensuring appropriate safeguards pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679. Due to security measures and to limit access to processing systems, we set out EU regulation 2016/679. Only subjects who have obtained access to personal data from the controller for the purposes use process such data according to the controller's and then, where appointed, the processor's instructions and shall be specified as processor and should comply with legal requirements and professional diligence pursuant to the existing juridical network.
Social networks
Our website may offer access to social networks. The terms of service and Privacy Policy of these social networks are published on their websites. CESIE cannot control the way data shared on a public forum, chat or dashboard are used, being the data subject responsible of such communication.
Cookies
This website complies with EU law of May 26, 2012 of the Italian Data Protection Authority, there are five main categories of cookies:
Technical cookies
These are used for the sole purpose of "transmitting communications in an electronic communications network," or to the extent strictly necessary for the provision of a service expressly requested by the user. These are not used for other purposes and they are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website he called session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (making it possible, for example, to make purchases or be authenticated in order to access restricted areas). On the other hand, persistent cookies remain active even after closing the browser. Sharing your data with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer any personal data received from you to any external commercial companies for their use. However, we might share personal data with third parties for reasons of technical necessity or legitimate interests in the contract between you and our organisation, and to answer you specific requests:
- law enforcement agencies, judicial authorities, bodies, professional corporations, public administration and other entities who perform administrative activity for legal obligations;
- banks, financial institutions, and other entities or actions such disclosure is necessary for the performance of the contract or the proper performance of related obligations;
We will only use your personal data where we have a legal ground to do so, otherwise your data will not be shared with third parties.

Your data will be processed within Italy and within the European Economic Area. You can exercise your rights any time, as set out by Article 7, par. 3, and articles 15 and following of EU regulation 2016/679:

- right to rectification and erasure of personal data;
- right to restriction of processing;

- right to object to processing of personal data;
